We compare the properties of two functions that are represented in different ways. In the first exercises, we check which function has the greater rate of change (from 3 to 4, and from 2 to 3), when one function is given as a table of values and for the other we're given its graph.
In the second example, one function is given as an equation (y = 8 − x) and the other, again, we're given a graph. Both are linear functions. We check which one has a greater initial value and which one has a greater rate of change.
And in one more example, we are to check whether the two depictions (table of values and a graph) are the same function and which one has a greater value when t = 50 minutes.
