Complex fractions (7th grade math/prealgebra)

A complex fraction has a fraction in its numerator and/or a denominator. Complex fractions are essentially fraction division problems. We simplify a complex fraction by performing that division. In this video, I first simplify (2/5)/(3/7). Then we look at a more involved calculation where the mixed number 8 3/4 is first divided by 5/8 and then 1 1/4 is subtracted from that result.
