Proportional relationship or not? (7th grade math/prealgebra)

We look at the three main features of proportional relationships:

  • The values of the two variables form rates (or ratios) and those rates are equivalent.
  • The graph is a line through the origin.
  • The equation is of the form y = mx (m being the constant of proportionality).

Then we see two tables of values and we check whether those depict a proportional relationship. Lastly we look at a situation where in one hour, one worker can wash 6 windows. If the one hour stays constant, we can vary the number of windows and workers and see a relationship there. But what if instead we keep the number of windows constant (24 windows), and observe the number of workers versus time?
