Word Problems and Equations 2: real-life situations (grade 7 math/pre-algebra)

What real-life situation could match the equation 5(p − 3) = $15.50 ? Think about it. See one answer in this video! Plus, I solve the equation. :)

In this second video, I solve two word problems related to this real-life situation: Avery is using a pedometer to track the number of steps she takes each day. The first problem has to do with the step counts for each day.

The second one is this:
She wants the average step count over a week to be 8,000 steps a day. She's planning to walk 14,000 steps on Saturday. How many steps should she take on the remaining six days so that her average would be 8,000 steps?

For both problems, I write a linear equation, and solve it.
