Using the Pythagorean Theorem: volume of a triangular prism

This is a free video lesson where I explain how to calculate the volume of a triangular prism. We first need to find the area of its base, which in this case is an isosceles triangle. And to find the area of that triangle, we have to calculate its altitude by using the Pythagorean Theorem. The lesson suits best grades 7-8 or pre-algebra.
