Equations review, Part 3 (8th grade math)

We look at some simple linear equations that have a fraction in them, such as (2/5)x + 5 = −8 and 2/5(x + 5) = −8. Some of the example equations are solved in two different ways in the lesson. Often, the most efficient strategy is to first multiply both sides of the equation by the denominator of the fraction but sometimes there are other ways that are equally efficient, or maybe even more efficient.
