Comparing proportional relationships (8th grade math)

We compare two airplanes, answering a variety of questions about the situation. Airplane 2 travels at the speed of 660 km/h, and for airplane 1 we have a graph showing distance over time. The distance covered over time is a proportional relationship (for both airplanes). This means the equation between the two variables is of the form y = mx, or in this case, using d for distance and t for time, d = mt. We can find m, the slope, by using the graphs and thinking of rate of change (or rise over run). Lastly we use the two equations to find how much faster the faster airplane travels a distance of 100 km.
