The download help page
You have probably clicked to this page from an EMAIL sent by Kagi.com. Good!
Here are things you need to do in order to download your books:
1. DOWNLOAD and SAVE the file(s) on your own computer's hard drive.
The download link(s) appear below in the email that you received from Kagi. Scroll down some! Just click the link(s). A dialog box will come up. In it, choose "SAVE". Do NOT choose "open".
You can try the download up to eight times, within one month of purchase.
NOTE: IF nothing happens when you click on the links, or if you get an error message such as 'bad token':
Try copy and paste the links into a browser window. Make sure you do not 'catch' the < and > symbols
from the link - they're not part of the actual URL.
2. Once downloaded to your computer's hard drive, locate the files where you saved them, and double click to open. They should open in a PDF viewer program, usually Adobe Acrobat Reader.
IF what comes up looks like a jumbled mess of random characters, you may need to install a newer version of Acrobat Reader. You can install it from this link: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html.
If that does not help for the "jumbled" looks, please redownload.
Please make a backup copy or two of the files, on a flash drive (memory stick), CD, or another computer of yours.
3. Instructions concerning ZIP files (ending in a filename .zip )
New to zip files? Read below.
The
zip file is like a package. You need to
extract the ebook files from inside it. This is also called "unzipping".
Once the file is fully downloaded on your own computer, go find it in the folder you saved it in and double-click on it. Most people have a zip program installed. If you do, a program will open up when you double click on the zip file. Then choose "extract" or "unzip".

Problem with a corrupt zip file
IF you do have a zip program, and upon trying to open the zip file, you get an error about a corrupt file or something similar, then quite likely your download wasn't complete, and you only have a partially downloaded zip file on your computer. In that case, please redownload.
Check the file size of your downloaded zip file agains the sizes in the table below. It shows the file sizes of the various zip files as of September 2009. Over time these will have changed some, usually upwards. So if the file you downloaded is SMALLER than these, please redownload.
