You can also do a Google search on Math Mammoth homeschool curriculum, scroll past the results that are from my sites or from store sites, and you'll find entries from various bloggers or people talking about the books on discussion boards (see an example and another). They just don't often use the word "review" since it's just little mentions or comments about it, questions and answers, etc.

First I would like to thank you for offering a much needed helping hand in ensuring my son
understands the concept of math. My son Trevor was ill as an infant [with] constant ear infections, although I kept him in the Dr.'s offices and on numerous antibiotics. Finally at the age of two they decided what I had begged for the entire time; they placed tubes in both ears. Wouldn't you know it; he could hear and went on till to date with not a single ear infection. He had years of help to help him in all his delays due to lack of hearing and not being able to understand language. He is in the third grade now and is at a 6th grade reading level and can spell and read like no tomorrow, but he just does not get the math. I thought with his teacher's suggestion of your site; this would surely help. He loves it, Thank you so much. We set up a work calendar to monitor his progress and rewards as well. He totally looks forward to what mom has printed for extra practice.
Kind Regards,
Amy Rossilli

From a homeschooling parent who has used Place Value 1 and Subtraction 1 with a grade 2 student:
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
Review, will soon use for new learning
Please describe how you have liked the ebooks.
We covered place value and basic addition and subtraction to ten in grade one, but at the beginning of grade two my daughter could not figure out 6+3 without counting on her fingers. After completing Subtraction 1 I feel she has mastery of both her addition and subtraction facts to ten and even an introduction to basic algerbra. The explanations are consice and easy to follow. We are now almost through Place Value 1 and look forward to ordering addition 2 soon. The e-books are designed in such a way that a young child can understand the directions, but they do not "talk down" to a young grade level. There are no cartoon illustrations or anything else that would make the books inappropriate for an older child wanting to review. Even at this early level I am learning new ways to look at math too! Thanks for a really great product!

From a homeschooling parent who has used the Blue Series and LightBlue series books with all 8 children:
Love the books. I use them for all my learning. Hoping to purchase the gr.3 complete curriculum plus any more that you put out.
I like them because the explain things , everything is there that you need to know. Affordable, as I am a single mom on little income.

From a homeschooling parent who has used
Place Value 1, Addition 1, Multiplication 1, and Fractions 1 who is using them with an almost 5 year old, 6 year old, 8 year old, and 10 year old.
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
For the younger 2, I am using them as the only math curriculum. For the older 2, they are a supplement. However, I almost definitely will go to these math ebooks exclusively for my 8 year old as well. I will continue to use them as a supplement and added practice for my 10 year old and also very soon for my 11 year old.
I love the directions and the explanations. I like how the lessons build on each other. I am so against kids just 'getting the answer'. I want them to understand 'why'. These ebooks explain the 'why'!
I am very pleased with them. They are pleasant to look at, they are affordable, and they cover a huge age range.

In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
Day to day math. I find that Math Mammoth is direct, to the point, simple to understand, I truly learn as I go. This website is the best miracle for me. It makes me want to teach math and no longer be intimidate by areas of math I am not familiar with.

From a homeschooling parent who has used the Blue Series books with first through sixth grade kids:
I print the books off as our main curriculum. We use manipulatives along side the books.
We all like that each book sticks to a topic and covers it all the way to the "hard stuff" ,as my son put it. I like that with 8 children to home school, I can print off books and extra pages for practice when I need to. The books are short enough that a child can finish one during the school year and feel they have accomplished something. My son is working about 3 books per year since a year and a half ago. He loves that he can be independent and work at his own pace. I also like that I can go online and get pointers when we get stuck. I have e-mailed Maria and she was prompt to respond to me. I like that Maria is working diligently to improve her product and make improvements available to her customers. I also like that I can download as much or as little as I need of the curriculum at an affordable rate. Math Mammoth has allowed my family, after 10 years of searching, to have a math program I am comfortable with that does not make any of my children cry. That is saying a lot in a family as large as ours.

From a homeschooling parent who has used the Blue Series books for 10 and 11 year olds:
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
As a replacement for the Saxon Math that they hate!
I love the way a new concept is introduced and then practiced, practiced, practiced! My kids hated Saxon, because it would introduce a new concept, then only give them 5 problems to do to go with the new concept then the rest of the lesson was a review from previous lessons. By the next day, they forgot the concept that they had learned the day before and were really lost after having to learn a new concept that day. Saxon just goes to fast without giving the students time to master the concept they are introducing. I really love how your books give my children the practice that they need to master the concept BEFORE moving on! My 11 year-old has learned to like math again thanks to you! Thank you!

From a homeschooling parent who has used the Blue Series multiplication and division books for students on grades 3-5:
The books are so easy to use; my daughter likes graphics and there are a few in the books so she didn't complain that the books were boring because they were in b&w. I liked them because the directions were so easy I didn't have to stand at her shoulder and constantly explain them. And of course they are very inexpensive!

From a homeschooling parent who has used the Blue Series books with a 2nd and 3rd grade students so far:
I use the books to help introduce & reinforce concepts in a logical sequence. I supplement with my own manipulatives & games for enrichment.
The e-books have been very flexible. When the worksheet format seems like too much writing, we do the work orally. I have not been able to find math curriculum as comprehensive yet as easy as this to customize for my family needs. Plus, I can print them up as needed for all my kids.

From a homeschooling parent who has used fractions and multiplication books and the sample sheets for 5th through 8th grade students, as the only math curriculum:
These books are excellent! I like their uncluttered format, their logical progressions, the little bit of color that may or may not be chosen, and most of all, that they can be printed as often as needed. I also like the freedom it gives me to move around in the series if the student misses a vital step, going back to fill in what should have been learned but was missed - and doing that without the child feeling threatened with the shame of lower grade work since it is just the next page to him. The pages are quality work, done very well and with attention to detail and appearance. The prices are very good, which makes the books far more attractive to those of us with many children and tight budgets.
Maria, you have done a great job. I really appreciate your desire to keep the prices down. There are so many over-priced e-books out there that I have to shake my head in amazement. Yes, we who purchase your work want to recognize the hours of labor that went into each creation, but we also have to weigh out the added price of paper and ink. Some e-books are high priced and are something that anybody with a bit of patience and ingenuity could do. Yours are reasonably priced and have excellent quality. Thank you so much. Busy parents could not easily come up to your standard of workmanship.

From a homeschooling parent who has used Addition 1, Subtraction 1 and Place Value 1 for grades 1 - 3:
I've used your materials primarily for supplement to other school work.
We love your materials. I use them primarily to supplement other teachings but the kids just love the program. It is explained and presented in a manner that the kids can work alone without any issues. Once they work through your exercises they feel so accomplished because they can read the directions alone and execute the exercises without additionaly help.
Additionally, as a homeschooling parent, your exercises are easy to incorporate into our lessons because your section them off by subject. So it doesn't take long to find what I need, print, and go.

I have already purchased Subtraction 1, Addition/Subtraction 2A, and levels 2 and 3 of the Light Blue Series. I haven't received Level 2 yet in the mail, but it should be this week. My son is currently working on Subtraction 1 and has been doing his math with little or no complaints. This is a nice change. I am going to have him work completely through Level 2A/B of the Light Blue as soon as I get it. I am really excited about how thorough your books are and how they really expand on the student's number sense and concepts. I am using the 3A/B Light Blue books for supplementing my other son's Singapore Math 2B/3A/3B and will use them after the first son finishes Level 2A/B. I have been spreading the word about your math programs to several of the Yahoo Groups of which I am a member!
Thank you for creating these worktexts!

From a homeschooling parent who has used the Blue Series books, with a 7th, 5th, and 1st grade children.
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
This is our fourth year of homeschooling, and finding curriculum that suits each of my unique children has been quite a challenge for me. After having experimented with this, that, and the other, I decided I needed to take a step back and find something intuitive, simple, and inexpensive until I could make a confident assessment of this year's math needs.
I initially purchased the Blue Pack to supplement until I could find (once and for all) a stand-alone math curriculum for each of my children. My oldest daughter had a few weaknesses that I wanted to strengthen before we moved on to pre-algebra, and due to my son's OCD (perfectionist issues), he had developed some gaps that also needed to be filled in. I didn't know where to begin with my youngest(6), but figured I'd buy the whole pack "just in case." To make a long story short, it has ended up as our only math curriculum so far.
I like these books for different reasons that vary with each child:
7th Grade Daughter - Last year, decimals became the thorn in our backsides because no matter how many ways I tried to explain their relationship to fractions, her eyes would glaze over and her confidence would plummet even further. I used number lines, manipulatives, real-world examples, pie charts, money, and everything else I could think of. Needless to say, this held her back from progressing onto more advanced concepts. I started her out with fractions this year (as a quick refresher) and then had her start the Decimals 2 book. Within a day, she said, "Hey, did you know that decimals are just another way to write fractions?" I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry, but I contained myself and just decided to be thankful. LOL We're about to review integers and geometry, and then I'll get her started on algebra.
5th Grade Son - Clinically diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, he presents a unique opportunity for me to stay on my toes. Teaching him is a game of strategy that requires just enough academic stimulation to keep his interest, without tipping the scale into frustration and anxiety. With math, this often means keeping drill work to a minimum and moving on quickly to new concepts, while somehow making sure he retains what he has learned... quite a balancing act, to say the least. Mammoth minimizes the risk of distraction and allows just enough instruction for him to verify that he knows what he is doing, without the lengthy explanations that would otherwise lead him to believe that it is more complicated than it is. I can also structure his books myself, rearranging and/or eliminating pages without causing him distress. With prebound books, he cannot skip a page or jump around without thinking a major rule is being broken. He has moved very quickly through Division 2, and will be going onto Geometry next week.
1st Grade Daughter: I started her out with Addition 1 just to see how she would do. She just sort of took off with it and I realized I needed to print out Subtraction 1 to teach her the relationship between the two. We alternate between both books, and I am very pleased to see how quickly she mastered her addition facts. I tested her with flash cards for the first time and expected to have to take it slow, but she gave the answers faster than I could flip the cards. I have no plans to find a separate curriculum for her since she is moving so rapidly and mastering everything in her wake. I think she also likes working in books that look just like the ones her siblings have, boosting her confidence and motivation even more.
These books have allowed for a lot of flexibility, yet they are well structured so you know they are learning and can track and grade their progress easily. Math isn't complicated, and I appreciate finding a resource that reinforces that concept to my children... and at a fantastic price too!

In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
Saxon wasn't teaching him why he was doing things, so we use the ebooks more than the text now.

We both like them, I've been following the order of material in his Saxon book but using the ebooks almost exclusively.

From a homeschooling parent who has used all the blue series and the geometry book.
What grade or age students have you used the books with?
From about 3rd grade through early high school. We have used them, thus far, for suplemental. However, there was a period that I used it for our ONLY math curriculum, and it was wonderful.
I LOVE your math, because it is thorough yet simple for both student and teacher. You cover the concept very, very well, using both abstract and concrete for each level. Each page is just the right amount of material -- not too little and not too much, with decent graphics. We don't need colorful and flashy stuff, but good graphics just to show the concept is great for us.

From a homeschooling parent who has used Blue Series books: Add & Subtract 1, Place Value 1, Add & Subract 2-A, Place Value 2, and Money, Fractions and Measuring for a 4 1/2 year old and 6 year old
I use the worksheets (books) as a supplement to a curriculum I have created myself. The books reinforce lessons that I teach or have previously taught with a self teaching approach that encourage my children to work on their own. They understand all lesssons and can't wait until I'm finished teaching so they can show me what THEY know! They LOVE MATHMAMMOTH!!
The conceptual approach in Mathmammoth is the best way for students to not only grasp the understanding of numbers and their operations but hold on to that understanding. These books are an exceptional tool to use. They are clear and efficent. There are not overly colorful or too plain. The pictures are relivant to the lessons. The simple text and visual explanations give a child who is an emergent reader or skilled reader a huge confidence boost in that they can do the page(s) independently! Thank you for these books! They are a tremendous help for my homeschool home!!
My compliments to you for producing these wonderful books!

A homeschooling parent who has used Add & Subtract 2-A and Add & Subtract 3:
The worksheets are great. I have purchased two of the books from the blue series, and begun using them with my three children... it's working very well! We have previously used Miquon Maths, then Singapore Maths My Pals are Here, but neither of them were just right for us. We wanted something that worked according to the principle of mastery, which explained/demonstrated what was expected of the pupil, and assisted the parent in teaching. In short, we were looking for something more suitable for a home schooling situation. I love the way the pages are laid out - clear, attractive, appropriately colourful yet not cluttered and filled with distracting cartoon characters.
It's great value for money, and I love the ebook concept allowing us to print out the sheets we want, or the whole book according to what we need.

From a homeschooling parent who has used Multiplication 1, Multiplicaton/Division 2, Mammoth Math Grade 3, and
Mammoth Math Grade 6/A books with a first and with a 6th grader, as daily curriculum, review work:
Please describe how you have liked the ebooks.
LOVED them. DD, who was technically in 6th this last season, was really hurting in math skills. I took your Multiplication 1 and Multiplication and Division 2 books, and had her work with me through them completely. Within 3 months, her skills dramatically improved, and she is now very ready to tackle the 6th grade book. She'll be behind for a while, if you want to call it that, but she is feeling so very much more confident, and actually eager to move forward with her math now, rather than being intimidated and frustrated with it. THANK YOU!
DS, who was in first this last season, has not only whipped through the SAME workbook as his sister, but has started the 3rd grade level book and is very happy with the material. He still is a little shaky with some stuff, but nothing to sweat. He is having fun trying to figure it all out, and it is amazing to watch his wheels turn in his little head, and get the concepts VERY well, once he does.
These books have made teaching my kids math a delight, thank you!!

From a homeschooling parent who has used Blue Series books (esp. Addition Subtraction 2) as review / summer work with daughter age 8 and son age 7:
My children LOVE the ebooks!
I'll tell you how we decided upon your books. We started with Miquon Math. I liked it and so did the kids, but as we progressed, I noticed that the books were jumping topics A LOT. When we came back to a topic later, the kids did not know how to proceed - even in simple addition! Basically, we were covering a lot but not learning anything well. I wanted a book that would teach one concept WELL before moving on to another concept. We needed to add WELL before subtracting, for example. I came across Developmental Math and found a great match. My children had just completed level 7 when I found your books. What made me change to your books over Developmental Math was twofold. One, the pages were more kid-friendly (color, pictures, not too many problems on one page which overwhelms children, etc.). Two, the price. I have 6 children and hopefully more one day. With your ebooks, I can spend money once and print as needed (even to replace messed up pages or to review). THANK YOU for being so family friendly!!! I can't thank you enough.

From a parent who has used Multiplication 1 and Fractions 1 with children ages 8 and 10:
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
Supplement to school work
I had been struggling for sometime to get the kids to score 90%+ marks in their Math. In spite of all the effort i put in with them, i was not happy with the outcome. There was something missing and i could not point a finger to it. After I tried out your blue series (viz. Multiplication and Fractions 1) with the kids, I figured what was going wrong all along. The school curriculum was focussed on techniques and very little on drilling the concepts in the minds of the kids. As a result, once the topic was over, the kids would forget about it and I would have to start all over reminding them the techniques of solving problems.
Your books helped me lay the foundation for Math with the kids. We started from scratch even though we had done the topics. This helped to lay a conceptual foundation -- which I know now, will stay with them for life.
I am hoping to be able to start a small class for other students in the neighbourhood who are struggling with Math. I am confident that if I teach them Math, the 'mathmammoth' way, they will benefit too.
Thanks a lot for this brilliant piece of work.

From a homeschooling parent, who has used Decimals 1 and Math Mammoth Grade 3 and 5 worksheets collections with a 3rd and a 5th grader:
We have been using Saxon up to this point for math. I began to notice that my 5th grader was scoring lower on his year end tests, even though he was doing well in Saxon. I began to realize he did not truly understand how to do math, only how to copy related problems. I happened upon Math Mammoth, and love it. I am amazed at the difference in both my children. I didn't realize what we were missing in the way of thinking skills until we started using you books. Thank you!!
My 5th grader and I worked through the decimals book. It actually helped me to understand decimals a lot better also. We were both amazed at how easy they are to work with once you understand the concepts behind them.
I love the books. They include a lot of thinking and reasoning skills that our other math program did not include. They also present things in a simple clear manner. No more tears when it comes to decimals!!!
We are preparing for our annual testing so, I am using the 3rd grade gold book with my 3rd grader and the 5th grade gold book with my 5th grader. They are more than excellent review, they are a challenge!! I didn't realize that Saxon was not teaching math concepts and how to think mathmatically. I was shocked when we started working through the decimal book, with my 5th grader, and the multiplication book with my 3rd grader. They truly did not know how to think through the problems, only how to spit out memorized facts. For example, when I gave my 3rd grader a problem for the gold book requiring mental math he said,"I can only do that if I have paper". Your books are opening up the world of math to us. Thanks for transforming our math time from tears to,"this is cool, it makes sense".

I am a homeschooling mom without a great deal of money to put out up front for materials. I came upon this site when doing a search for math e-books.
I LOVE this curriculum. My kids have felt other materials were boring but have really liked this curriculum. Not only doing the kids actually understand what they are learning but I have learned a few things as well (and I consider myself a math-whiz).
Both children were behing in certain areas of math as they just did not "get" certain concepts. With this program however, they understand and can apply what they learn in daily life.
I just wish I could find something similar to this in other subject areas....(this is just a slight hint, lol).
I would not just consider this curriculum but I would take the plunge and buy it. I don't regret it at all.

From a homeschooling parent, who has used Multiplication 1 with a 4th grader/9yo.
I bought the multiplication ebook as a review.
I love the way the multiplication ebook has moved seamlessly from point to point. The teaching tips have been helpful! My son and I enjoy sitting down to do them.
My son has been a very reluctant math-learner. He always says "its just too hard." He has commented several times that he enjoys completing the multiplication ebook and doesn't want to skip pages. Now, this one is a lot of review for him, but I am hoping it will also be a confidence booster.
I have since purchased the entire blue ebook series and the grade 5 ebook. We will be using them as our sole math curriculum in the upcoming school year.
I am so relieved to have found your books... a math curricula that is helpful, easy to use AND doesn't cost hundreds of dollars!

From a homeschooling parent, who has used Addition 1, Subtraction 1 (for now!!) with an 11-yr old daughter with dysphasia / ADHD.
This is my first year homeschooling, and we have tried many different methods to make math easier for our daughter to grasp the concept of basic math, and make it easier for her to retain or memorize beginning math concepts.
For the first time, a light bulb seems to have gone off for our daughter. With everyting concrete and with pictures etc, it seems that she is finally starting to LIKE math, because she understands better. When she was in school, she was in grade 5. This is only because in Canada (Quebec) they no longer allow the children to repeat a year if they have difficulty. She didn't understand in grade 1, and still doesn't, because no matter how hard we tried, with the classes doing other work, she couldn't concentrate on what she still didn't understand. Because retention of facts or tables has been hard for her in the past, the sections that she gets to study on her own are starting to give her a little bit of confidence. AND THAT IS JUST THE FIRST DAY! My other children are going to be using them soon (sometime this week) as well, even though they don't have learning challenges. I'm hoping that my middle child (who is VERY lazy when it comes to math) will finally be able to 'master' multiplication. When I get to see work that is easily explained to them, it makes me realize what I was doing wrong in trying to teach. These workbooks are going to be great for everyone, including me!

From a teacher who has used all the e-books.
I am in Australia and I have used them on students in high school grades 7 and 8 who are very behind in their maths skills.
I use the books in tutoring sessions allowing students to work at their own pace. some activities they will complete fully where as other concepts that they are more comfortable with we will skip and move on to where more attention is needed.
I love how the books have pictures. Even in high school the students are never to old to have a visual of the ideas and concepts they are learning. Multiplication and division are much easier to understand with diagrams. These books have allowed me to have more time with my family outside of work hours. The preparation of worksheets as you are aware are very time consuming and I have never found any books that have as much detail in explaning concepts and providing practice questions as your books do.

From a homeschooling parent who owns all the e-books, and has used some with 8 and 6 y/o boys.
We are starting with addition and subtraction for our daily practice.
The books are perfect for us! I don't have bunches of books sitting on the bookshelf, I don't have to take them to the copy store (which is 30 miles away) to make copies of the worksheets. I just print off what we need one week or even one day at a time. They don't get lost or spilled on or trampled by the baby! Love it!

We are using the books to homeschool math.
We have love the books. Everything is well explained. It is easy for her to follow and easy for me to teach. These books don't have unnecessary repetition. There are just enough problems to make sure the student has learned the work. We especially love the challenge of the Puzzle Corner. I love how proud my daughter is that she got it!

In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
Classroom teaching - exceptional ed sixth grade - eighth grade.
These books fill the gap between using manipulatives (concrete level) and abstract (symbolic) level. Too often students are expected to make that leap from the concrete level without spending time at the representational level.

I use the books for our homeschool math.
I probably don't have much to say that particularly valuable, but I just wanted to let you know that I really like the books. In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
I have used these books along with my hands-on math curriculum.
Please describe how you have liked the ebooks.
I love how well laid out the books are. They build in the development of skill acquisition. I really like how it starts out by teaching the concepts of each topic, then slowly moves onto applying the skills in the assignments and word problems.
I really don't have any suggestions for that. You are doing an awesome job already :)

My 5th grader needed more practice with multiplication and division (especially long division). He was becoming frustrated with the curriculum we were using. We are now using the Math Mammoth books for all three of our school-aged children.
My fifth grader has regained his confidence in math. The way these workbooks explain math seems to work well with him. There are enough problems to make sure he really "gets it".

From a homeschooling parent concerning all of the ebooks offered (including Math Mammoth grade 3, 4, and 6 worksheets) as the only math curriculum:
We love these ebooks, I like that I control how much they see when, they don't get overwhelmed by seeing a big thick book, they only see what they need to do at the moment. I really like how easy these books make it to teach the kids their math. I also like that I have the ability to jump from grade to grade depending on where the kids need practice.
These books are so great, I don't think they could improve.
I was just writing again to sing your praises, these math sets you are putting out are just fantastic and so easy to work with, that's what amazed me... just how easy it is for me to work with the kids with your products... I'm sure I'll be just as pleased with [grade] 5, 7, and 8.
Thank you for taking the time to put out a superior product that will help our children to really learn!

From a Learning Resource Teacher in private school who has used Multiplication 1 for 4th grade/9 years old to replace classroom math due to student not functioning at grade level for math:
I love how the books finally teach the rationale behind multiplication and not just memorizing the facts! I believe the books are very good in their current form. The format and content is very logical and clearly presented.
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
I ordered them at first, as a supplement, to give her practice with her math, however when we began using them, I found that they are much more comprehensive than the math I had previously used with her, so now, we are using this as the main math curriculum! Thank you!
I think they are great! Very easy to use, easy to teach! I like the way you use several different ways to teach the same thing. It really helps with my child's style of learning.

From a homeschooling parent concerning Addition 1 ebook:
(I actually bought your whole package and use them all regularly.) I'm using addition 1 with my 6 & 8 year old children. They've made great strides since starting it. I absolutely love your whole curriculum! My 12-year old son is really benefiting from the higher level e-books too.
I use it as our main source of math learning, and sometimes supplement with a few other sources such as edhelper.com.
Please describe how you have liked the ebooks.
Wonderful! I really wish something like this had been available when I was young, as math was always very difficult for me. Homeschoolmath combines a great foundation for the basics with the real life need for math in everyday situations.

From a tutor concerning Subtraction 1 for a girl in the third grade but can not do the work.
I have started using these has a review. I like being able to save them on disk and print only when I need to.
In what kind of situation have you used the math ebooks?
Going back to the basics and filling in gaps that we had left open previously.
How have they worked as teaching material?
I like their simplicity. They are cost effective and seem to have enough drill and practice. I also like that the website has a worksheet generator in case my children need further practice.
