Parents - information about Math Mammoth productsFor parents (whether homeschooling or not) I specifically recommend either: Both of these series of books present basically the same lessons (they are nearly identical in the lesson content). They also both contain explanations for the concepts, along with problems & exercises.
The two other Math Mammoth series (the Golden and Green series) are worksheets only, and are meant to be used by people who can explain the math to students (such as teachers, tutors, or math knowledgeable parents). Then I also offer Make It Real Learning workbooks (written by Frank Wilson) on this site. These are filled with activities with real-life data - you can learn how math is used in real life! These books do not teach the concepts, but provide supplemental activities. They can be great in motivating your children to love math. Please also check out the free sample from Make It Real Learning series. The video below gives more details about the four different series of Math Mammoth books. |
